While doing a pvc delete and breaking a few parts and then replacing them an hour later this pcv delete is for the dirty dogs. But we live and learn. But as I was cleaning I noticed this crack right where the nut screws on and it goes onto the head. I dunno if this is enough to cause a leak tho. But what is your take on this. Do you think is f####d or is this repairable as no head removing stuff as I'm not getting into all that as my tools a limited. [IMG][IMG]

You may need a new or used value cover as that is cracked and the head may tig weld if access is good but I’m not 100% sure you will have to speak to someone who can tig if in can be done

I'd stick some liquid metal on it and cross my fingers.

You're not supposed to torque the valve cover down too much, just enough to compress the gasket. Plus I've never seen threads of those bolts covered in oil then they're removed.

Sorry yeah it's not a casting mark. Why would there be one on that part of the head and rocker? Never seen anything like it. It doesn't leak. But if wanna sell it people are gonna be like.. (it needs a new head.)
