They do RHD turbo kit's for UK cars and the cost of turbo kits from Uk suppliers is just ridiculously expensive, as you said they get a good review on Vortex have contacted them to enquire further about BT kits. :D

It wouldn't surprise me if the import duty and VAT brings the cost back to near UK prices.....

The 492bhp CTS-kitted S3 on their website sounds like it could be fun :D

For comparison

backdraft's 400BHP kit with 2871r works out about £5,000 inv VAT

CTS 2871r RHD Turbo kit is $4,185 Shipped

Importing from the us with 2.2% duty, 20% VAT and shipping works out about 3.2K a £1,800 saving

I think the duty should be a bit higher than 2.2% (ca't get onto the TARIC site to check at the mo) but not massively so (3.5-4.5%) but aye, spot on with that!

What did you spec in the kit?

have a look on ASN... couple of S3 guys or more using Clays kit.
Its a nice kit and one of the ones I would use... BUT, do not think it "just bolts on" without needing mod all sorts of little things..

Will a gt3071R be massivly laggy on a stoke 1.8 bore? Looking at stroker to a 2008cc using a 92.8 fsi stroke on 83mm bore

I will have a look on ASN and see what's involved.

A 3076 is horrendous apparently, totally not suited to stock 1.8T.

4100rpm for a 3071R sounds alright, still gives you 3k+rpm of powaaa :D

Yes I was saying it about the 3071 and it's very important to pay attention to the A/R
