Cupra 300 front bumper vs 290/280

Hi everyone

Im in the process of buying a nearly new cupra 300, after owning a 280 for nearly 4 years... this may seem ridiculous to most, but i really find the 300's front bumper with the extra lights ( fogs ? ) a bit of a disappointment, as slight as the changes are.

Just wondering if there is anything out there that can be done other than changing the whole bumper ? I will be getting another trc splitter and painting the lip, unsure whether that will be enough for me ?

Sorry if this offends anyone who prefers the 300 bumper haha

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

I thought the same. The 280/290 with the black behind the number plate plus the honeycomb fogless intakes at the front seem more aggressive.

The lack of honeycomb on the 300 and the fogs slightly let's the look down for me. Not much to separate it from the FR either.

Tbh honest though the dimensions of the 300 made the front look more aggressive in the flesh.

Anyways..

Apart from the splitter and lip you could try enhancing the intakes around the fogs by wrapping them either black or another color like the R.

Hopefully the pics will explain what I mean about intakes. Not keen on the grill on white or the lip on the red but they both have the mod I'm talking about.

I also kinda preferred the 290 bumper, but after a few subtle mods I much prefer the 300 now!

I was going to suggest front fogs as I've seen a few pics with them blacked out and the car looks much better. Again just makes those intakes look bigger.

However I thought it may be an M.O.T failure, but since read that it's only the rears that matter for an M.O.T. please correct if I'm wrong.

If you're not bothered about losing cornering and fog lights it certainly makes the car look more aggressive.

Thanks for the ideas - this just got added to my "to-do" list.
I too don't like the 300 bumper and think the previous one looked more aggressive.
I had been wondering what could be done to improve the looks and those are just about right.
Will surely do that when I have time and... "Time $$$"

Black/panroof and some skirts either the blades with black tips or the 290 skirts with some black on.

Ive just tinted the foglights so i still have some light emitting from them, wrapped the bottom lip, fitted a TRC splitter, wrapped the "S" badge and fitted some Maxton side splitters!

would still look better if the black on the bottom of the doors went on the front wing

Way ahead of ya, got a vinyl wrap company to redo them for me, added a red stripe this time to!

Photos haven’t worked this time.
Would be interested to see what your red stripe looks like. Took the red off of mine after it looked too pink.

Nora, make sure you black out your plate details on pics you upload - bad guys can clone your plate from the image.

It’s technically not a stripe and was done based on my own photoshops.

For the black bit I got a local vinyl wrapper recommended by @paddy6789 to do it. I didn’t want gaps and a really good line because I’m picky.

So basically the bottom part of the door is wrapped in black to avoid any pesky white bits or bad line ups. The top line is then cut to match the line of the crease in the door. With a little help from me he then cut the front door in a curve to avoid a naff stop at the door edge near the front.

The Cupra wording and logo I got in advance off of eBay and stuck on myself.
