Only time I have seen it not sweep is if you turn ignition on and then off and back on again, if you give it a few moments it works.

Mine is 256 and it does it some times.
I've been trying to replicate it to figure out what is triggering the non-sweep bug, but so far I haven't found out yet, only thing related is that the time it doesn't do the sweep, the MIB starts from zero like I had turned it off completey.

My 300 does it randomly too. Can't seem to see out if there's a pattern or just random.

Pretty sure if you turn the car off without taking keys out and go to re start, the needles don't sweep. You have to take the keys out and put back in before starting. If it's first time in the car they should always sweep.

I have found with my 280 if you start the car right away after getting in and closing the door they always sweep, but if you delay for a short while they don't. I have discovered if I have delayed and reopen door and close they always sweep again.

I just tried this like 10 times in a row trying to put the damn wipers in service position, and you're absolutely right.

So basically you can say that the car "rewards you" with a swift needle sweep if you go straight to the chase.:cartman:
