Telford ay it...
you leon guys dont give up do ya :p

To be honest i was under the impression it would be lighter than a leon, remember safety features were not heard of in those days  and it quite basic inside etc.

from what i can tell its got an m3 kit but has a 320 badge on the back, very sneaky.

the burbs...
Just had a chat with a car nut friend of mine and he was saying it is quite a rare beastie here, left hooker, it is a 320IS from what he was saying. he was quite enthusiastic about it, a short stroke verison of the M3 motor, so it should rev like a demon.

My girlfriend friend bf has a 318ti and he thought it ment turbo injection!
and said he'll whip mine!
so i took him for a spin and :-o

and when i looked up Ti means "touring international"

so i can't wait till i drop the bomb on him!

could off been a standard Cupra Tdi with body kit?

anyway jenk what response did you expect

i have the knowelege of what cars will beat mine, so i don't even bother EVo's etc, called respect! and would nether dream posting on a owners car stating my less powerful car killed one of theirs.

best surpise recently was keeping up with a honda s2000 up to 80 he even gave me a thumbs up bless! very nice car will kill me on a track!

Those 318 ti's are not that quick, I've blasted one of them before! They run outta steam at 130mph! Must admit I thought ti stood for turbo injection too!

It's amazing how defensive everyone gets at the merest hint that something could be faster than their car!!!!

Please guys, most of us are driving cheap Spanish (or French if your me, but I used to be Spanish) 3 or 5 door hatchbacks and no matter what you do to them they will always be family hatches!!

I traded in the LCR for a Trophy and I will be the first to point out the Trophy's flaws, but it's a great car because Renault have invested in what counts and left the rest.

For me though it's a car to enjoy until I can afford to change to something else. The LCR was great, the Trophy is great but neither of them are the fastest, best handling, most perfect car ever built.

For me the dream would be a Carrera GT and along the way I'd like to sample an Evo (FQ340), TVR (Sagaris?), Boxster S, Carrera S, GT3, Gallardo, F430, Exige, 350Z, Monaro etc...

My Trophy was spanked by and Astra Turbo and I can only admire the guy for what he'd done to it whilst keeping it stock on the outside. I'm not going to cry and whinge because I was beaten so take it on the chin everyone and accept that SEAT don't make the best cars in the world.

PS. The Astra may have beaten me on the straight but I'd have opened a king size can of WHUP ASS on him along the twisties!!!! :p

  That sounds like a comment from a Scooby owner

And they have every right to say it, nothing goes round corners as fast or as sideways as either a Scooby or and Evo, hence why an Evo is on the list of cars to own......

Thats what all owners of 'slow cars in a straight line' say.......

EVO's will beat cars in a straightline and in the twisties.... not quite the same for the Lardy Impreza's....

..but anyway, back to this M3, 320, Italian, German indicator-less BMW....

several versions, heaviest was 2733 lbs (1,240kg)

lcr is supposedly 3176lb (1,441kg) but I think it's a little lighter than that?
*checks a different site* ah that's better, 2910 lb (1320 kg).

Which makes it all the more satisfying to duff more desireable vehicles in!

I know when i'm beaten and give credit where its due and respect to the other guy.

Depends on whats said to kick the ball in the first place though really!

Thats why when you get beaten, you give a "good job" signal to the other guy!

Anyone sensible should take that as "good job on yer motor mate" and not to mean "good job racign me, feel free to do it all the time until you kill some kids"

Think you are all underestimating the E30 M3 they will keep up with Cossies and i cant see my Cupra R doing that with its flashy traction control light and heavy air con, differnt times call for different needs and in my opinion the modern day equivelant to an E30 M3 or the origanal 3 door cossie would be the new M5 or the RS4

why does everyone hear cossie and instantly think its gonna be some kind of time warp!

cossies in standard form are not fast, yes the YB lumps are an excellent bases for tuning, but as standard i wouldnt say they are any faster than a Cupra R and an R may even be quicker after a remap
