Hi all,

Looking at replacing the exhaust system on the Leon.

Not to sure if to go with cat-back or de-cat, thoughts?

Also i'm a little lost in if i have one or two cats to deal with (Sorry if this is a dumb questions) iv had a look around online but cant find the answers i want haha

Suggested would be awesome as well for exhaust systems.

Thanks

Bigford

The LCR (well at least my 2005) has two cats , I wouldn't go de-cat as its an MOT failure (although you could put two dummy cats in place and an elbow for the lambda sensor so that it doesn't throw any codes), alternatively change the down pipe and go single sports cat (my choice for what its worth).

I bought a milltek non-resonated cat back late last year and was very pleased with it. My LCR was totally standard before this. Tailpipe looks good and exhaust note perfect for me. Quiet on idle and good when you put your foot down.

Unfortunately milltek only do a downpipe with decat now, so I went for a custom 3” downpipe with sports cat. And a right angle lambda spacer.

It worth deciding if you just want cat back or intend to go for a full turbo back system.
