I recently fitted a genuine btcc kit to my fr which looks good but i'm debating on wether or not to put my std rear bumper on and fit the cupra r diffuser with exhaust but will this look ok with rest of the btcc kit or will it look odd?

Forum member Greyfloppyhat is working on fitting the Cupra R Diffuser and exhaust to the BTCC rear. Should look great when done so might be worth waiting to see how it turns out.

The diffuser/exhaust will still look great with the rest of the kit though. :)

I am currently in the process of doing this or was complete actually but due to a fire in one of our barns both of my diffusers (an old cracked one and the new fitted one) are burnt to a crisp, along with my btcc rear bumper. My rear tails have melted into a puddle and a load of other parts that such as service bits and pieces and pressed plates that I'd got the night before. We also suffered damage to an old vauxhall firenza shell that was my dads pride and joy :(

Luckily the actually car wasn't near as the sheds are a few yards away from the house, but I'm still gutted and can't afford to do anything about the car at the minute especially at Christmas . But all will be well soon, it gives the gf plenty of ideas for things to give to santa for me lol

The rear apron won't fit from the FR/Cupra bumper but if you are after this look you could go the same way I went, like below and just paint it with either textured grey or gloss black, or whatever

How did u make ur defuser? Did u just glue some blocks to the bottom of the bumper or did u make the whole thing?

I brought the fins of kev at triple r . They were made for a focus rs but i modified them to fit mine .it didnt need much dremel work for them to fit nicely without gaps . The i took them down to my local body shop and they removed the bumper and glued and screwed them into place . Then i just got them to paint the defuser and behind the number plate gloss black it cost me £160 all in , it was well worth it and unique on the btcc bumper

In answer to both your questions. No, Cupra R diffuser does not come painted and the number plate part is just the standard FR / Cupra rear valence. Search my username to see my build thread when I did mine last summer.

I did make a quick MS Paint job of a rear diffuser with dual BTCC exhaust which looked kind of good and uploaded onto his FB but have not heard anything back. If I can find the image I will upload it here so you guys can see a rough idea of what I had in mind
