Well you have Revo and APR which are the most common tuners on these cars.
At the moment APR are doing a challenge which maybe of interest to you.

Now I can understand, I can add 2p's worth.

The suggestion above about going stage 2 with what you have now is a good one. However there are quite a lot of unhappy Superchips customers out there who have swapped for something else and seen better results.

At this time of year, there are always special deals out there including the one you see above, Revo have a 20% sale on just now and there are probably others with discounts on the run up to Christmas too.

Do a search as there must be literally 100 "what remap" threads for the MK2 Leon.

You are right AI ! iam an unhappy superchips customer. Now iam thinking of revo as its one of the most known.

Whats the feedback on UPSOLUTE map ? is it good ????

Any recommendations before doing the map ? whats the boost in bar and HP gains with revo stage 2 on cupra R's with my mods ?

Cheers :)

I had upsolute on my Volvo brilliant map but they specialised in volvos ,
Our American cousins use them for vw so they have a good reputation

There's a superchips near me, i didn't like the attitude and the way they came across when speaking to them, however, i have only purchased once from there, but before hand had been there several times asking questions and for advice etc. I'd never get my car mapped by them, i'd stick with REVO or APR without a doubt.

Mike,
do you mind me asking what you are unhappy about with Superchips (assuming its a performance of software thing)? Ive got Superchips Stage 1 and am very happy, although i am one of the never had anything else to compair against types, so it could be quit poor but 'just' better than standard and i would be none the wiser... Getting really tempted by the Revo 20% discount just now, with a local outfit that could undertake the works... Im sure i read a post a while back saying that Superchips was like 60% of what an APR / Revo would be...

Sorry to dig up oldish thread...

I have logged a few superchips K04 2.0T's. One in particular, an Edition 30 Golf, sticks out for me as it only saw boost build from 4000rpm which was some time after the spooling point of the turbo. Being honest, the car drove better with the standard map than the Superchips map and was probably as fast as standard too.

Do any amount of research on here about Superchips and pay attention to the people who moved on to something else. The Ed30 above ended up with Revo and was loads better with regard to boost utilisation, better timing pull figures and better performance. KevsFR had Superchips on his yellow MK2 Leon Cupra R and went for an APR map and I am sure he would report the same.

Yeah I tried superchips map on my R and found it seemed to boost pretty well but found after 5000rpm the car went into overboost.
After superchips revising my map the car was slower than standard.
After contacting them again they said the problem was my 4000 mile car that was at fault!
They were 100% sure my hpfp wasn't creating enoug pressure.
I ditched their map and went to APR.
I instantly felt like I had a huge power increase everywhere in the rev range.
I'm now running stage 2 APR and have never had any problems with fuel cuts from the original hpfp.
To sum it up superchips are full of $hit and I wouldn't buy another or recommend them to anyone.

On the otherside of the coin it depends what you want from your car and how hard you drive. Although the price of our cars and how much we like them we want them to be tuned properly within Safire limits by people who know what they're doing and I don't feel superchips offer any of them.

thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate the info.
Had a good chat with an APR tuner in Glasgow yesterday and my mind is made up. Will be looking to book in over next week or so. Since running the Bluefin, i have never actually taken it off for servcing etc so dont really see the benifit for me with the handset in the long run...
Cant wait now to get the same experience as i did when originally got the Superchips...
Will feedback if i get this loaded soon,
cheers
