Yeah I think there will be too. Hence why I'm putting in the effort to sort them.

I'm back at work this week so will get the CAD finished and start ordering bits.

Finished the CAD and got quotes to have a small number made (all of which have been sold as test ones)

Timelines are looking like 2 weeks for initial parts, 4 weeks testing, then an additional 2/4 weeks to make changes and get the next batch ordered.

Thought I'd stick some renders up:
    The "curved" ones
    [IMG]

    VWR/Racingline style
    [IMG]

The second ones will hopefully be available in brushed or a coloured anodised finish (black, silver, red, copper)

How do you take the paddles off to change them? And is this reversible. And also when are these available to order?

    Airbag out
    Multimedia button units out
    Unscrew paddle units
There's a small metal pin that you have to pull out, then it's just reverse of the above.

Yes they are 100% reversible back to standard.

Should be available in a month or so. My ones come next week, so I need to check the fitment and operation then I'll be ordering parts.

They metal ones will be available in either black anodised or brushed aluminium

Just got my last quote back.
In a couple of weeks once I've received my first off I should be putting them up for sale.

I'm only planning on selling the metal option and at the moment they will only be available in Anodised Gloss Black.

Selling price will be around £100-120 including tracked delivery
(Racingline shifter replacements are over £190 for context)

Which style will you be selling? Is this for just the long thin ones (Similar to Racingline)? Or are you able to offer the Curved ones too?

At the moment it will be the racingline style.

The pictures that I've been sent of the curved ones don't look amazing so I wouldn't want to sell them

How long would it be until additional colours are available?

How strong are the metal shifters? There's no chance of them bending whilst shifting is there?

Additional colours is tricky as the anodising is the expensive part and the only way I'm getting the black ones cheap enough I'd buy buying them in quantity.

They are going to be 4mm aluminium plate, I don't know if they'll let you shift right at the top of them as the actual design (Seat part) isn't great.

They don't do them on eBay. No-one makes paddle replacements for the Cupra.

The extensions are nothing like these.

These replace the entire paddle assembly using the VAG designed interface. Not a shitty bit of 3m tape which don't hold it securely, rattle and will eventually fall off.

If these need to be compared to anything it's these:

Was just showing a cheaper alternative to 200 quid ones. Also if the tape holds on number plates I am all sure it will hold these on.

I guess a few people won’t want to remove their airbag etc to fit them.

These will fit the Cupra unless the Cupra has different dsg paddles which I guess it hasn’t.

Difference between number plates and the paddles are the surfaces. Paddles are soft touch and slightly rough along with being curved, with ribs.
Number plates are shiny, smooth and flat.

I've had the stick on extensions.
They are fine for about a week, then the car gets warm and they get loose and fall off.

That's fine, my market for these are the people that want a replacement kit and are okay with removing their airbags to fit them.

Would it be possible to take out the OEM paddles the same way as the Golf GTI as seen in this video

Clearly you’ve not read the original thread. Everyone is already aware of the cheap stick on ones. The whole point of @Dannnnn making these and updating everyone with his progress is because some people don’t want the cheaper stick on version. And of all the versions you’ve shared, they are the worst lol there are better stick on versions than that.

@Dannnnn good luck with the design etc. I appreciate the cost/time etc. At the moment it’s not the design I’d be interested in, but looks as though you’ll have enough interest :)

    Unfortunately not.

The pin you have to remove is only accessible through the side that is inside the steering wheel.
