cutting out !

My 2003 1.8 petrol toledo has started cutting out at junctions and when slowing down.Typically though it is only intermittent so its difficult to pinpoint what might be causing the problem. Any ideas folks ?

Hi sherlock. Might be best to plug in and check for fault codes. I plugged my v5 in because it sometimes took 2 or 3 turns to start. Came up with no error codes. So gave it a full service and so far no problems at all and starts on the button and runs far smoother. Hopefully it may be as simple as that if no error codes come up
