Took her out for a little blast last night :)

I've started getting a creaking coming from the N/S front when going over speed bumps and dips in the road,
I think it might be the top mounts but I've also been told it could be the drop links or a ball joint so this needs to be looked into as soon as I get a chance.

AmD are once again opening thier doors to SeatCupra.Net for our 2015 Rolling Road Day,

AmD Essex on Sunday March 22nd 2015
The date may be subject to change
http://www.amdessex.com/contact.cfm

The runs will cost £35 for 2 runs with graph printout.

The day will start 9am.
There will be hot food and drink on offer as well so get there early before I eat all the Bacon rolls

As always there will be a fine selection of Seat's on display as well as AmD racing's BTCC Ford Focus race car so even if you don't want to go on the roller's there will be plenty to look at.

Running order on the day will be on a first come first served basis, so if you want to go on the roller's go into the shop and sign on.
We can normally dyno around 30 so there's plenty of space for everyone.

Everybody is welcome so spread the word and lets make it a big one.

All details subject to change.

I drop her off at Legends at the weekend, nothing major this time, just having the boot sprayed, I should of had it done at the same time as the rest of the car but I didnt think it would show as much as it did

I've not had a chance to update this since the weekend, firstly thank you to everyone who came to AmD on Sunday, we had a massive turn and as always it was a really good day, Also a big thank you to the boys at AmD for allowing us to take over on what should have been their day off

As always I had a lot to do on Saturday to be ready for our first proper meet since the respray, the first job was to finish the new boot install, the sub and amp were removed prior to it going to Legends.
I wanted to hid as much of the install away and out of site so I decided to go with a false floor and hide everything under it.
Initially I was going to build it into the spare wheel well but I wasn't keen on loosing the wheel so I decided to build on top of it.

The box and floor are made from 18mm MDF, once I had the layour right the floor was then trimmed so that with the rear seats folded forward it could slid forward to allow access to the spare wheel.

Once it was all marked out and I was sure it would all fit it was screwed together, the box was battened and sealed to make it as airtight as possible, the internal dimentions of the box are just under 1.5 cu/ft.

I'm still using my old Vibe Black air 12" sub and Alpine V12 amp for now.

Little bit of CAD to get the false floor right :D

False floor is made from 9mm MDF

End result

I've got a little bit more work to do on it but I'm pretty happy with it for now :)

Next job was to finish off a couple of carbon bits.
1st up was my carbon mirror caps, these had gone cloudy from where I used a water based lacquer in the past, this time I used a 2k lacquer so they should hold up better to UV rays.

Next up was my carbon throttle body cover that I made a while ago, last year it fell off and got stuck between the sump and the undertray and it got quite badly scratched, it's sanded back and had a fresh coat of resin and then lacquered with the 2k lacquer.

Fitted

Just needed a wash and it was all ready for AmD :)
