have you tried putting the car into transport mode via VAGCOM? really not an expert in these things but put it into that then out of it. Never tried it myself but I would have thought that would reset ECU or have you disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to reset? What about disconnecting the O2 sensor again incase its leaving some sort of open circuit that would stop you getting into the EMU possibly.

its worth a go am literally pulling my hair out trying to think of what else it can be....would faulty MAF or Crank sensor stop it from starting?

the TCS light is on flashes twice but when i scan it with Vag-Com it says faulty steering wheel position sensor had that since day one used to come on and go off from time to time?!

no says mechanical failure but as its been like that for months usually means your steering wheel is slightly off centre dues to tracking etc......anyone know anything about relay 428 under the bonnet ECM relay?

Have you got that relay?

ECM Engine Control Management? try and swap it with a known working one, or maybe you can short the longer prongs like the fuel relay, not sure on that.

Don't know if its worth mentioning but there are fuses also in the black box on top of the battery, loads of red wires go into the box.
They are open fuses with varying sizes, they look like dog bones of thin metal connecting two wires to each other.
Do you have a multimeter ? Because it sounds like your going to need one.
Personally i would start by checking your voltages on the fuse board.
Blade fuses normally have a bit of exposed metal on the head which you can use to test voltage or continuity.

You shouldn't continue buying parts and swapping them with guess work, either contact an electrician or buy a multimeter and start checking voltages at varies parts of the car.
Hope you get there in the end.
