as the title...... has anyone done this, spoke to dealers yesterday (premier stoke) and they said they will prob get 4 in and have £250 deposits on 2 , now i am tempted to put deposit down as he said it is totally refundable upon a test drive and the price will be £19495 240 horses 4wd available december delivery,
Yes i know have read all the threads and we know it prob won't be 4wd but as a refundabe deposit nothing to lose andeverything to gain.
on the other hand the new ctr looks to be very tempting and i don't know as yet which way to sway...

Good question... I thought the GTI was supposed to be the Daddy, or are those chequered seats getting too much ;)

VW used to have a 2.0 FSI non turbo GT, identical to the TDI GT. I think that was cheaper than the diesel, so maybe they did...

why the change from the gti ?
just time for a change
will still be the vag family and if the lcr is anyhing to go by it will be amazing, it will handle very well if the gti chassis is anything to go by and as syphon says without putting the gti down it should be more car, however i think it would have t be something better interior wise than the current leon not slating by the way just the interior in my oppinion in the gti is a very nice place to be (even as some would say) with those dodgy checked seats...:p :p :p

The GTI's interior is indeed lovely. I would imagine they will bring the soft touch dash back in to the range on the Cupra (not sure if it is on the new FR? - can anyone confirm?) like they did on the R.

The FR looks like it has the same dash as our Sport bar the white dials

I wouldn’t imagine that the Cupra will get a soft touch dash as then they would have a whole new moulding just for one model. They might do it when the come to face lift the Leon. Though you quickly lean to like the dash in the new Leon.

They did it on the Cupra R though for the UK. Also the new facelift FR and Cupra ibiza's feature soft touch dashboards on the continent - but not in the UK (stingy Seat folks)

Just slightly off topic, I was just driving past LC Charles in Crewe, and saw a Used nearly new R32 on the forecourt for £27999. I never realised that they were that expensive,

Went for a test drive in the R32 at LC Charles at the weekend and i wust say i was left a really underwhelmed and it didnt feel £8000 more car than my GTi. Believe it or not £27999 is cheap for the spec of the car as it was over £30k new. Cant wait to see the new Cupra so i can get back into a SEAT and not have deal anymore with the VW clowns.
