I was reading about the rebirth of MG Rover and noticed that Nanjing Automobile Corp bought the Ibiza design along with a few others from Fiat, and are producing an updated Ibiza, called the Unique, for the Chinese Market.

The MK2 Also lives on in the form of the Polo Playa!

EDIT: wondered why they decided to rebadge the mk2 Ibiza instead of carrying on with Polo MK4 production of which most of the parts are the same?

They culled the Polo Playa years ago, they now have the same Polo as us.

The Ibiza is more Golf than Polo, plus they also had the Cordy based Polo Estate and saloon so it makes sense in terms of parts stock, I guess!
