Does ESC Sport turn of XDS?

Hi i thought i'd try the ESC sport mode over the weekend to see if turning off the traction control made much (if any) difference and i noticed that on a particular roundabout i got a little tyre squeal and the subtle but noticeable 'line tightening' of the default setting XDS didn't seem to be present?

Also what do i need to change the XDS setting to make it a little stronger. 1.8 Fr BTW.
