Hi all..
Owner of a Mk 1 Seat Leon Cupar R from new..Has anyone ever had this scenario..
Central locking locks and unlocks car whilst driving and flicks dash board double indicators, continues to do so for journey until engine switched off..then after a few moments, all 4 windows will open!
I have disconnected the battery to try and reboot the system and thought I’d cracked it!
Any input would be good..other than leaving the car unlocked.
Cheers all..

Strange one buddy, i've not heard of that before. The only thing that i can think of is that the microswitch for the drivers side lock barrel is sending a false signal that it is being held in the unlocked postion, so that is activating the 'roll down all windows' feature. Vcds can scan the locks for fault codes, but if you don't have access to that, i would start by replacing the drivers door lock module. There are perfectly good aftermarket lock modules availiable on ebay for about £15 https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/292733869877?chn=ps

Guide to changing it here. It can be fiddly in places, but overall it's fairly easy to fit.

Cheers for your input Matty, looks like hours of fun with door panel removal. Central locking has never been the best, with key fob opening all doors barr drivers door!

No worries, and in that case i guess you have 2 reasons to replace the module then, lol. :) The door is one of those things, once you have done it once it's fairly easy. I've done a few now and can probably do it in 45 mins, but I'd say plan on about 2 hours for your first one. If you can get a mate or the mrs to hold the door panel while you connect and disconnect stuff, then it makes the job twice as easy.
Just in case you need it for extra reference, here is a link to another guide. It's for a golf, so the outer panels are different, but they are exactly the same as ours underneath. It's worth a browse through IMO, some extra info beyond the youtube vid. https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthr...indow-regulator-clips-and-or-door-lock-module

Is there a go to for these modules?
Plenty of Chinesium cheapies on Fleabay, but as these are such an arse to fit, (two years ago, and it's stuck locked again)
I would really like to do it once and forget it.
Not for £250 each from VW though.
