door electrical problems

my alhambra has just failed its (portugese) mot the pass side mirror was not working electrically. after checking continuity the culprit was the 29 pin connector through the A pillar. the male and female halves are fixed by a ring. opening and closing the connector a few times cured the problem. check this first for any door related electrical problems.

Alhambra's have a lot of electrical problems (mirrors, windows, speakers) with the wires running through all the doors. The wires are very thin and snap very easily.

pins in plug are also fragile so take care!
