double-posting PM's?

Today I received a double-posted PM. I composed my reply, hit "submit" and got the following message

"This forum requires that you wait 60 seconds between sending private messages. Please try again in 59 seconds."

Being of a suspicious nature, I opened my PM's in another window and found that my message had been posted already.

Now I know it could be my keyboard not debouncing properly, but the fact that the incoming message was doubled leads me to think that there may be a fault in the system?

Not had that myself, and we've made no software changes in a while

If it doesn't happen again just put it down to coincidence then, but I thought it was worth making a note of it.
