Drivers door jammed shut

I cannot open it from either inside or out!

I went to replace the lock barrel a few days ago, though unscrewed too far and lost the ring that holds it in place - fell down the door. So i still have access from the outside (no barrel).

it did continue working fine, no problems until now...

I don't think i can get the interior panel off without damaging it... since it is tight against the dash

Any suggestions on how to get it open with least damage?

theres 3 screws at the bottom, one on the side and 2 under the handle should be the same as my golf, which are all hidden once the door is closed!

but i dont understand why it wont open from the inside, you havnt messed with hires inside because theres cable which holds onto the pull which opens the door, and if thats clipped slightly wrong it just wont open

fixed it now...
by giving it a couple of whacks on outside by lock! i should have tried that earlier.

Ended up taking panels off anyway, since i had to recover the barrel clip that had fallen down - couldn't see anything that had caused it...
