Right seat leon mk3 1.6 tdi semi auto 7 speed dsg.
First issue I had was mechatronic unit developed a massive oil leak. Car would not select gear.
Had the unit dried out and refilled.
This lasted about a couple of weeks before I had the same symptoms show.again. gear error, and apply brakes displayed on dash.
Have just got the car back again. Mechatronic was sent off and came back with no error codes showing?
Have had it refilled and sealed again. Now the car is still not right it seems to drive like the gear is slipping. The gear box is fine as this was checked. If the oil was refilled and vcds update not done would this likely cause issues?
I'm getting frustrated with this car to say the least any help would be appreciated

Couple questions is this the dry dsg box (DQ200 From memory), what sort of mileage do you have on the car.

In all honesty I'm not too sure. I think its dq200. Mileage is 90k How can I check if wet or dry?

What do you mean by the mechatronic unit was sent off ? Did you have it removed?
Sounds like the accumulator housing has cracked

Yes I had it sent off the second time. They reckon there was no fault codes showing. Supposedly when they got it back they used a repair kit? But I have only had it back a couple of days, there doesn't seem to be an evident leak at the minute but the drive is not right. Gear error is displayed within 2 seconds of turning car on? It drives ok if lightly accelerating but if you put your foot down it's as if it's slipping

Need to remove it and check the selectors move freely without excessive effort
Did they open it up and check the accumulator ?

I don't have vcds? When they checked the unit at a specialist they said there was no error codes showing? Surely they would have seen if the box was damaged?
See it's frustrating because I'm relying on what these 'specialists' are telling me. I'm not really mechanically minded in all honesty but I would be tempted to have a go myself if I had the software.
If they didn't use vcds after repair and refill of oil could this cause the described problems do you think?

I’m actually a master technician for seat , and seen various issues, just depends on what checks they have done, did the refill the mechatronic unit ? Takes 800ml of power steering fluid and your box takes 1.6 or 1.8 litres , to me if the mechatronic unit has been stripped and checked you can only rely on what they are telling you so you need to check the box ........ is there a specific gear it struggles on?

If I put my foot down from start, the power is not there, it seems to search for the change of gears as if it's slipping. If I take off slowly it's not too bad but anything over 2.5k revs it's surging. Normally I would expect if I put my foot down from standing it would get up to 50mph in about 6 secs maybe. Now it struggles to get to 50 with hard acceleration

If I’m Honest I would recommend taking it to seat ! At Least you will get an accurate answer find out what the problem is and move on from there

Videos too large. But at start up the gear error message takes less than 30 secs to appear without driving.
When revving above 2.5k is when it's searching
