DTUK tuning box

box is the newest, bought May16 (CRD3+)
car is an SC 184 Manual, 64 plate, 20k

Map 2.1 seems to have the same 'hiccup' on part throttle but slightly higher up the rev range (around 2/2.1k)

If you want to DM me your name I can check the software version you have as I revised the files about 2 months ago as our Skoda experienced something similar after a software update from Skoda

If mines anything to go by (150) on the CRDT+ box, I get a coil light / limp mode on anything more than +1 in the warmer weather (bought the car brand new Feb 2016 & fitted box after 1500 miles) however when I first put the box on in March / April I was running + 2 then + 3 with no issues at all and again now the weather / temps are dropping once again I'm again getting away with + 2!? My commute is 70 mile round trip per day + more when out of the office, and with the car now on 20,000 miles I know the car / engine rather well, and average plenty of miles per week every week. To date only floors to the box that niggle me are ;

On +3 in any map / setting, car seems at its best / fittest - but can only get away with this when the outside temps are low - around say 7/8 degrees or less. Shame it doesn't just work all year round.

There's no precise time / rev range etc. that seems to trigger the coil light - in any map / setting, it just happens, sometimes after 2/3k miles on that particular setting? I find however it's most common in the higher gears and higher speeds, but again it's also happened just pulling off sensibly from a round about in 3rd? So no real consistency.

Finally, it always seems to do it (limp mode) when having a bit 'frisk' with another motorist! Which is annoying especially when on a good day I would / should leave um for dead? Depending on what their driving obviously.....and on occasion it's threw the coil light immediately on start up? Both from cold and warm (has happened only around 6/7 times in 20K) and is a complete killer if it doesn't clear with ignition off, key out and start again, which sometimes it doesn't.

However, even with the above niggles. Take the box off & the car is half the motor to drive that it is with it fitted, even on the low + 0 setting, and I could probably avoid most of the above by running it on that setting but it's just not quite as good as the higher settings!?

Just my two penneth, in the 20,000 miles I've had the car......

I find my car runs better in the colder weather. Currently on setting 1 +3 with no issues at all covered over 2000 miles like this so far, before the drop in temperature was getting coil light on settings +3 and +2...so colder weather's a win win for me mate.
