Dump valve issues HELP please

Hi all im new to this site hope your all good,

Just a quick question, my mk1 leon cupra seems to run better when the pipe from the top of the dump valve is off? When it is on it some times feels like there is no turbo boost until i turn car on and off and then the boost is back.

When the pipe is off it dosnt seem to lose boost as much and boost seems stronger?? Thanks lads and lashes hope you can help me out

Which Dump Valve, which car etc etc? How did you fit your DV?

Its a 2001 seat leon cupra 1.8t

I brought the car about 6months, the previous owner had it remapped and chipped?? I have a print out for 211bhp. It has a standard DV

Have you checked to see if the DV is leaking?

I wouldnt recommend running it without the pipe connected...turbo wont be happy.
Not to mension the fact that you have introduced an boost leak..unless you have blanked off the pipe?

What swedey says, keep the vacuum hose on. It seems to run better, but no hard figures for it then? Also have you tried scanning it for error codes and clearing them. But you will need Vagcom then
