ECU question

Hey, i need to replace the ecu on my ibiza 1,6 sx -99. does the serialnumbers have to match 100%?
I found alot of ecu´s where the last two numbers dont match,

Is it a bosch ecu?

No, its Siemens

It should be alright as long as the siemens number 5WS is matching.

The last digits, usually letters are the critical bit and should match.

For instance an 06A 906 019 A might be for a 1.9 tdi but an 06A 906 019 T might be for a 1.4 tdi and won't work.

My numbers are 6K0 906 019 and 5wp4883

Why do you want to replace the ecu? Is it water ingress?

Yes, and when i pulled off the rubber thing under the ecu some things came loose so now the car works even more like ****
