Yep right up there in the VFM stakes with the dog bone engine mount in my humble opinion.

Be careful with the EIP (infact any short shifter) when driving quickly and down shifting, remember there is no limiter in the world that would stop you trying to selelct say 2nd instead of 4th then over revving the engine......all i'm saying is be carefull till you are used to the throw......we don;t want any expensive accidents ;).

very good shifters these - come in 2 varieties - street and competition.... i think the competition on is a shorter throw than the street, but IMO the street is perfect - any shorter and it'd be impossible to find the right gears. :)

I have the OEM silver one - looking at it you wouldnt even know it was different to standard. Stealthy mod :)

Any idiot can shove it in the wrong gear with the std gearbox..........I know it's happened many a time to SCn users.....some with terminal results.

If you are used to the std gearbox and change it to the short shifter you just need to engage the grey matter when down shifting......if you are driving on auto-pilot and not thinking.....or say having a tussle with another car and are a bit hot headed it "could" happen.

Then again I could get six numbers on the lottery next saturday ;)

I actually think it makes the shift between 1st and 2nd far more notchy!

I love the feel of the short shift and all other gears and changes are good apart from 1-2!

James try shifting from 1st-2nd in race mode.
