electric window problem

Hello

Anyone know where I can get a replacement electric window mechanism for a mk2 Toledo? Was lowering the driver's side window yesterday & it made a terrible noise, came down & refused to move again. I stripped the door trim & found that the wire cable that operates it had become jammed round the plastic pulley. The motor seems fine but the little plastic wheel & cable are in a real mess.
Window is now jammed with bits of wood to keep it up!

Many thanks in advance

Ben

I had exactly the same happen a couple of weeks ago, and murphy's law said it started persisting down with rain on my way home grrrrr. Anyways a trip to me local dealer and a days wait and they got a new mech in. It was a pit of a pain to fit and it needed to be re-adjusted after a few days to run smooth (only cos it was still raining when I got my friendly mechanic - dad - to fit it!).

Stock code was 1M0837461A - Electric Window Regulator - £66.89 inc VAT

Hope this helps

Cheers, I'll look into getting one. Was it the whole regulator assembly (frame) or the repair kit that you got for that price?

Thanks for the info

This was for the complete assembly, unfortunately it was just a plastic retaining clip that broke on mine, but good 'ol Seat make you purchase the whole unit. They sure know how to make money!

Thanks very much for the information. Ordered the part & got a friend of my dad's to help fit it (where would we be without them).
Bloke in the parts dept of the SEAT garage said that they always break and that the same problem happened with the mark IV Golf until they changed the clips to metal ones.

Cheers
