I have a short circuit on my 2003 Cordoba, which the garage working on it can't seem to identify and fix. Unfortunately, I got caught in some heavy rain and had to drive through a considerable amount of water. The upshot of this is that the battery drains constantly. Any ideas how (and if) it can be fixed?

The draining battery is caused by the short only and not related to the driving through standing water. It's cause could be a duff battery to failing charge system.

The battery charges and discharges quickly or the battery fails to be charged? If you do not get to be charged can be a fault in the alternator and the same may not be charging the battery
