Emissions fail on gt2860rs with 550 injectors

My car is currently in for stage 3 mapping, and is a 1.9 gt2860rs setup with 550 injectors, i have an adjustable fpr and a wallbro fuel pump, the tuner who is doing the mapping cannot get it to pass emissions with this setup and cant seem to tell me why. They have suggested swapping back to OE injectors to pass the MOT however i am not happy with this as the car needs to be able to pass an MOT with the current setup, and i dont want to have to keep swapping injectors everytime i need an MOT.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening, i thought genesis 550s were common on big turbo setups...and i really dont see why this is occuring?

I never had any problems with mine, 550s and Revo stage 3. Must be crap mapping.

Who's the mapper?

It's a closed loop control, so the ECU controls fuelling via lambda

ie do you have a cat?

if you do, which one? cell count etc?

well my concern was with the mapping....

its a full turbo back exhaust with sports cat and i think its 100cel.

I had a 100cell cat on, never any emissions probs.

havent seen the emissions sheet as the tuner is not telling me everything, but its failed 3 times now.
Dont want the mapper to be flamed, can pm you who it is if it helps.

Turbo and engine fitted by a custom kit car builder near to me.

It's not for flaming - just we should be able to work out if you can rule them out for software or not

no, i know its not for flaming, but its hard to say your concerns openly when the mapper has your car still.

I will when i can get down there, but i was really hoping for some ideas as to why its not passing, and suggestions on who can do proper stage 3 mapping as scn has a huge range of heavily modified 20v turbos!

Yup

You could just post your ECU to a Revo dealer... tried & tested

But I'd check your hardware out too

Make sure there's no leaks, hoses are all correctly connected etc

cool, will do, had a prob with boost pipes coming off, but they have all had mykalor clamps put on now.

So do you think revo is a good option, there are a few revo mappers i could get to.

Presumably its overfuelling at tickover and ok when boosting?

A simple fix would be to creat an air leak on the brake servo which would lean off the idle mixture and pass the MOT.Then seal it again after.Has worked for me before and got the CO levels from something like 6% to 0.something or other%.

Edited to add-do you have a gauge fitted to your fpr?I have on mine and noticed my fuel pressure kept going up and up from the 3 bar I set it at up to 5bar!It turned out to be engine vibrations causing it and stopped when I removed the mounting bracket connecting it to the block.
