Engine management light flashes at high revs.

Hi Guys,

I have a 2010 Seat Ibiza Cupra Bocanegra 1.4T which i purchased a few weeks back, eveything about the car feels fine and drive really well, but when i over rev the car (normally in sport mode) 6-7k revs the engine management light flashes between 10 & 20 times. There are no judders and the car still accelerates perfectly fine? Does anyone know why this happens?

got a fault code reader on it?

No i haven't had anyone look at it yet, i thought because it only happens if i over rev the car alot that it might be some sort of warning telling me i shouldn't do it? and if i drive normally it never comes up, and even if i over rev but to 6k it still doesn't do it.

Hi mate, i also have a 2010 bocanegra, and having the same issue you are having did you find any more information on this issue?
