Hi peeps got a issue with my lcr bam borrowed my car to my mate over the weekend and he managed to hear a rattling noise from the engine so I dropped the sump and the chain guide had failed so I was hoping that there was no damaged done I replaced it and cleaned out the pick up pipe put new oil in and fired it up and there the rattling noise was still there so I guess damage has been done most likely the oil not circulating around the engine has starved it so what are my option replace the engine which not many are about or get it rebuild but need a decent place who are good at rebuilding 1.8 engines Help will be appreciated
