Keep getting this message on my MY64 Leon 1.8FR DSG ST. It is only there for a second and then disappears. The car is running absolutely fine apart from some horrible creaking/groaning noises from the front and rear suspension. These will get looked at during this week's MOT.
Looking on various VAG forums the error message seems to indicate a Gear Selector Mechanism Fault.
Fortunately I still have 4 months of warranty on the car so I intend to get the main dealer to resolve the problem ASAP.
I've only had the car for 8 months and for a car that has only done 27k I'm getting well fed up with it as it's only a few months ago that a flappy paddle gear selector needed to be replaced. Fortunately the warranty covered it as it would have been a 400 quid plus repair cost.
