i for one am not surprised .

any interior shots/images/photochops mark?

Pretty much what I expected, having had a few hints over the last 12 months I didn't expect it to be a radical departure. Slight revision to the front end, bumper bonnet and grille. Hatch has been remodelled with the glass sitting flush. New interior is ok with subtle changes to bring it into line with the new Ibiza.

I think they will reserve major changes until the Mk3 debuts.

i quite like the look of the steering wheel, but i'm not so sure of the centre console. is the console fascia quite a bit lighter in colour? or perhaps its the stereo/climate control thats gone that much darker?

i guess theyll start appearing around june time then (my10?)

So if 'The powerful 211 hp 2.0 TSI engine steals the spotlight in the petrol engine range', then is the Cupra getting 29 less horses? Or is this for the FR (and the Cupra engine is so rubbish it has had the spotlight stolen!)

Can someone explain this, from the press release!

'In addition, the León has added the sportier FR version to its range.'

IMO the Cupra will be released later with similar power to the S3 and the new Golf GTI-R. Hopefully anyway!

No info on the Cupra, this relates to the FR there maybe more info released at the show early next Month. I suspect it won't be any less powerful than it is now though.

This is a Spanish press release, and the market differs in Europe to the UK. They had Sport variants rather than FR's, but it would appear they are bringing the models into line. Don't read too much into the press release as it could well differ in various areas in regards to the UK.

I agree, I expect they will bring it into line with it's stable mates.

Hmmmm I like some parts of it, the steering wheel and the new radio. but over all i think the old FR looks better. It will be interesting to see what the basic models will look like.

Inside is a bit of an imporvement with the radio, but they've clearly cut costs with the climate control. Having said that it's probably fine for most people, but I'm a gadget freak, and liked the digital readout. The climate control in my mk3 Ibiza is more advanced!

doubt the mk6 golf will ever see a 4wd variation in hothatch form, unless they make a golf version of a possible rs3.

It will be called the gti-r or R20T in some markets and will just be an S3. There's going to be a sirocco version the same aswell.
