Hi! I've owned my 184 Leon mk3 from less then a month and this light has appeared, Ive not noticed any difference in the drive. Took it to my local garage and had a diagnostic computer check it.

It has come back with code P2080 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor. The light was now been removed, thankfully it hasnt come back.

However I don't know if it's more damage being done without knowing it, has anyone had this fault? Any idea to what this sensor is for it needs fixing/looked at?

Did a search and couldn't find anything, can someone help please :)

My egt sensor was playing up on my pd170 before I got it mapped out. I cleared it but kept popping back on after a couple of days. I had to change the sensor and cost about £125 for ngk one. Once I fitted it though it ran fine and never brought light back on.
