Hi everyone,

Just bought a second hand Mk4 Ibiza but the tell-tale indicator light is not working although the external lights (front and rear) are working. The audible is also working. I removed the cluster and found that the lights are LED.

Question is, can I replace the whole cluster which a second hand one from another similar model? If so, is this going to have error code? -- found some threads it will but some said no. So it may be good to have it repaired instead?

Thanks

Yea you can replace it fairly easily.

You'll need to code it in obviously, you need to get the SKC off the old unit before ripping it out.

^^ what software do I need to do this? Is it VAG-Tacho? Sorry I have not done this yet. All I did was bulb replacing from the cluster so this will definitely needs a software. Does it have to be via ECU or OBD? thanks
