Hey guys,

I accidentally bought DS2500 pads for a facelift Cupra/R that dont fit my calipers

I have a Pre-FL cupra.

After speaking to the seller they have informed me that there are two types available and to check i need to use the photos against my current pad.

When i bought my last set of pads (Mintex) there was no variation at all and no issues with fitting.

Do guys can you help me with what pads i need?

I think its the FCP4223 not the FCP1765.

Check your production codes. The front brake code starts 1L

1LU and 1LT is OE part number 1K0698151B - Ferodo pad shape 1765
1LB is OE part number 8J0698151F - Ferodo pad shape 4223

No, the car's production codes. They're on the sticker on the boot floor under the boot liner. There should also be a copy of the sticker in the front of the service record book. There's a section on the sticker that has a list of 3 digit codes. These translate to all the equipment and configuration options of your car.

Hey guys

I can't find the info that rusty has given me on the sticker.

Can anyone help me? Here is the sticker in my boot. It's probably obvious but I can't see it!

Sorry - I hadn't realised the front brake code isn't on the sticker... the sticker only shows a small number of the codes which are deemed to be more important to know than the others... checking the full list of codes I have for my car from SEAT's systems there's 189 listed in total! I had just assumed the front brakes would be one of the stickered ones but it seems not.

Looking at the parts drawings it would seem the earlier part (1K0698151B) applies to vehicles produced up to 14/09/2009 and the later part (8J0698151F) applies after this date.

Your VIN shows your car was produced during 2008 so I would assume your car has the earlier pad shape.

Hey Rusty,

It would seem that the part is the FCP1765.

Thanks for the help guys. I will let the seller know so i can get them swapped out. Luckily if these are wrong when i can always have the others.

The ebay seller is really understanding (for once).

I will keep this updated just for info sake in case anyone is in the same position as me.
