The guy has obviously copied the text from my post and put it on his website - I didn't know it was on there until you said! He is a forum member on here so he's obviously seen it.

It sounds like you are trying to imply I am in some way affiliated with DTUK - I can assure you I am not - if you look at one of my previous posts I actually recommended a stage 2 remap over the chip, if I was trying to drum-up business for DTUK I wouldn't say that would I :p

I am very impressed with the DTUK chip and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for more power and torque - there is no hidden agenda in there, I'm not getting paid anything to say that and I'm in no way connected to anyone at DTUK or any other tuning company - I'm a graphic designer!

Nice one. I'm interested in trying one out and I read your review, saw the review on the DTUK site and thought, hmmmm...

I believe you though, so all good!

Fitted the DTUK chip and I am impressed! I've not tried all the maps yet but you can certainly notice the difference in all the gears. A pity the roads are damp just now...!

Nice one, I'm glad you're pleased with it - see, I wasn't talking cr@p! :p

I've got mine on map 3 which is pretty impressive - which one are you on? I think it ships on map 1.

I spoke to Andrew and I think he said it was on map 3 already and I've not changed it. 4 maps on it, right?

The roads are really slippy just now, so I'll wait for a dry to try out the maps. Is it easy enough to change between them? Is map 3 the smooth map or the aggresive one?

And I didn't think you were talking crap, I was just a bit suspicious at first. :D

I've just had a look at the instructions and mine shipped on map 2 which is the smooth less powerful map. Map 3 is the smooth most powerful map with the power peaking at 2,600 revs, holding it until 3,000 revs and then tailing off smoothly 'till the red line.

To change between the 4 maps you just remove the top cover and swap around the 2 jumpers that are next to each other to make the 4 different combinations in the manual. There is also another jumper on it's own to the right of the other 2 that allow you to up the power or decrease it. I haven't tried upping it yet as there is already plenty there! :)

Yeah, I'm happy with the power at the moment, so I'll leave it for the time being. Just need some dry roads...!!!!!

Tried map 1 - not liking it compared to map 3, so I've now got it on map 4, with the power up a bit. I like, although wheels light up in 3rd when damp!

2nd gear in the dry even overcomes the tyres sometimes, so not always easy to control. 4th gear is fantastic, 40-80mph (where legal) takes no time!

I also have a DTUK box and am totally satisfied with the power results! I havent played around with the different maps yet as my clutch basically melted! :-s
Got a Sachs Performance Clutch kit fitted yesterday and so I can now begin playing around with all the settings! Anyone got any other ideas for MORE POWER!!?? ;)

Uprated turbo, exhaust, intake? Loads of options. You can also strip the car of weight for better performance and handling.

What map you on?

t box italy

i have previously sold tuning units for 6 years and have just fitted one on my 130hp alhambra,i did my research and purchased mine from italy ,well so far i am very impressed ,i used to sell an adjustable analogue unit that yes was crude but did work as it plugged into the fuel temp sensor ,this digital unit is so good i am away to start selling again as i am well impressed with the unit/compny ,you can also use a remote switch on it but as anyone knows once you have more power you dont want to switch it off.these units will cost around £240 if anyone is interested

Im thinking of heading down the bigger turbo route but not got enough knowledge in that dept, need to do a trawl through this site and see what I can dig out! Gotta uprate the brakes first tho!
Not sure what map im on at the mo dude, the one it arrived on! Are the other maps worth trying?

Yeah, there is a difference, so you might find a better map for your style of driving.

Ahh, cool. Cheers for that mate, I'll have to have a play around with it then and see what I like!

Driving style = FAST, hopefully there'll be a perfect map for that!;)

Just make sure you follow the instructions...

Make sure the car is at operating temperature (90) and that you give it time to calibrate. Also, if you are changing the power setting, always return it to zero before altering the map. (all info I got from the company on the phone)

I'm on map 4, which is a smoother map that seems to be spread across the rev range a bit more. I've also upped the power a bit, and it seems perfect for me. I tend not to rag the car but my daily drive sometimes requires quick overtakes on a busy A road, so it's perfect for that!

Map 1 seemed to deliver the power/torque more aggressively and then tail off quicker. Didn't like this as much!
