Fitting parking sensors to 2010 Aero front bumper r.

My Seat dealer has just taken delivery of my 2010 FR 170 TDI with the Multi media system which includes front and rear parking sensors. I also ordered the Aero body kit. They have now informed me that the front parking sensors cannot be fitted to the Aero front bumper and are trying to sell the car to me with the standard FR front bumper with the remainder of the kit fitted.

Does any one have any knowledge of fitting the new factory fitted parking sensors to the Aero front bumper?

Are you serious?
Can't they drill their way in or something?
The front parking sensors are the cool guys :(

Go with the option you want and have the FR bumper - looks better than the Aero one anyway ;)

I might be a bit off topic here but never seen standard parking sensors fitted. Do they have a display in the car or do they just beep? If there is a display, could it be retro fitted?

I have just seen hot Hatch Steve's white Cupra which has the Aero front bumper fitted together with the Multi media/ rear parking sensors. How did you do this? My dealer is telling me that they cannot isolate the rear sensor,ie cannot fit the rear sensor with out the front ones as the cars software will crash. Clearly Steve has got over the problem, can you help, thanks.

When ordered the car I had the convience pack wich includes just the rear sensors, I then added the front bumper has optional extra (dealer fitted bumper on delivery) so when the car was built it had rear sensors and standard bumpers. With just the rear sensors you dont get the graphic on the media system (only when you have front and rear).
This could be what the dealer meant, if the display was needed.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks Steve, that would explain it. The dealer is tomorrow going to re fit the original fr bumper so I an see what it looks like with the rest of the Aero kit fitted. Not sure if it will look a bit strange or not. Having waited 18 weeks for the car it is disappointing that the dealer has only just discovered the problem

Thanks again.
