I was told that it was a swirl flaps issue and advised to change to a BKD inlet manifold. I got one off Darkside Developments and fitted it, but i am still having the same issue. Can anybody shed some light on this and how to stop this fault?

Thanks

Hey, I believe as yours is a PD like mine, the manifold doesn’t have swirl flaps like the later common rail tdi engines.
You will have an intake manifold flap motor (sometimes called the throttle body or ASV) attached to the EGR valve which is attached to the intake manifold.
These motors can fail due to the gears inside getting worn and broken.
Can’t say if this will cause your glow plug light to be on though. Do you get an EML at all?
Worth checking the EGR and ASV for damage or to see if it is clogged up at all.
