I have just done the same on mine. I popped in a pair of these also bought from horizon LED's

Definitely better than the oem 35w H8.

The pic/camera makes them seem bluer, but they are pretty close in colour.

Thanks to OP for the info. The only thing that I didn't have to do was trim the H11 bulbs to fit... My tabs were exactly the same size as the H8's that came out..

Now to try and get these cornering lights to come on without having Headlights on... OBD11 here I come...

UPDATE: Decided to remove the fogs from the front. So I can shoe horn my H11 LED's in.

These were my main headlights on my last car. H11's but didn't need to alter them. Just slotted straight in.

Nice and bright now...

Hi Everyone,
Does any one here knows what type of LED fog light bulbs, the facelift Leons have? I have seen the newer Leons with slimmer fog light case/slot where the bulb is on. I want to put some LED fog lights in my 2014 FR, I can´t make a decision to which brand to go, so figured that the OEM bulbs that go in the newer Leons would probably be the best option.
Thanks,
Sam

I cannot for the life of me get the power clip disconnected from the light. Any tips?

Is there clips in it I need to push in or pull out?

If I remember correctly, there is some kind of plastic tab you need to push down. View attachment 495 Approx in this area.

Yes I got it maybe 20 minutes after I posted....my God that was tough on the passenger side.

I'll get a picture tonight of the difference as I actually only have one bulb fitted due to a ordering mistake

(I only had one bulb but I made sure I could change the passenger side first before I ordered the second bulb in case I couldn't do it)

Today I changed my fog lights from the standard h8 35w to h11 55w mtec super white 4350k, here is my guide to anyone who wants to change them on a Leon FR.

H11 to H8 adaptation

Snip the tab at the top to match the hH8 by making the tab a few mm thinner.

Driver’s side

To start with turn the steering wheel fully to the left then remove the three screws (with T25 screwdriver) down the edge of the wheel arch liner:

Reach in and disconnect the power then turn the bulb to remove.

The passenger side was a lot harder because of the windscreen washer bottle restricting access.

Turn the steering wheel fully to the right then remove the three screws (with T25 screwdriver) down the wheel arch liner and two from under the front of the wheel arch liner.

I needed to reach in from under the car to disconnect the power cable then in-between the wing and the wheel arch liner to turn the bulb to release it.

Still not the same colour as the LEDs but a lot better :) .

I’ve just bought some of these h7 bulbs I’ve got the FR model I hope I don’t have to take off the bumper to change them. I’m wouldn’t be confident doing this

I managed to change them on an FR without taking bumper off. It is tight on passenger side but possible. My hands are not small but I was able to get in between the wheel arch liner.

Looks great I need to get this sorted. These are the ones I bought .... thoughts anyone ??
I know H8 (OEM) and H11's are interchangeable. No modifying needed, but I'm not sure about h7's... Unless of course yours are indeed h7... Maybe someone who definitely knows can confirm.
