FR using water??

My seat leon FR 170 tdi is using water and can not see an obvious leaks any ideas guys an girls thanks in advance

Could be head gasket.

Check oil filler cap for froth.
Water in the oil can be seen with that on the cap.

was water pump done when cambelt changed

Yes i changed the water pump an tensioner an pulleys when i did the timing belt

Mileage doesn't matter, check anyway matey.

Could easily be a split in a water pipe only leaks when hot (small split).

If it was egr would that leak internally into exhaust

Pressure tested water system looks like steady stream down back of engine will have to gwt car over pit to have proper look. Is egr valve at rear of engine?

egr will leak internaly and be burnt off in exhaust 'radiators are common on golfs for leaks

Oh rite well this was def a steady stream down back of engine.
