Got new front brake pads on my mk1 bit ever since fitting them I've had the wear sensor warning going off when I start the car! Very annoying!

The wire is probably broken but I'd rather just override it and crimp the wires together. So I did that and the sensor warning light still comes on.

Do I have to reset it with vagcom???

Thanks

Ive just cut the small piece of sensor of then splice both wires and joined them together that put the light off the dash

When you say "the small piece of sensor", which bit do you mean?

Also, I use the Torque android app to read the ECU, but it returns no fault codes even though the brake warning light comes on on the dashboard!?

Instead of taking ur brakes apart to take the sensor out the pads just cut that black wire near the pads then splice the wire down the middle then join the two wires together that will turn of the light on the dash, I don't use the torque app things they ain't accurate, if you do what I said you won't have any light issue
