Front wipers have mind of their own

My front wipers have started either wiping all the time at different speeds, even when key removed..

stalk has no effect on what they do.

disconnecting battery will reset them but then they wont start again for 5 mins or so.

Check the relay, it's under the steering wheel

Is there one marked 192?

I think the wiper relay is bottom row, second from the left. Pull it out and see if it disables the wipers. If not feel/listen for clicking when the wipers activate.

wipers have stopped all together now

theres 3 x 373 and a 643 relay
no 192
