Fuel Economy- 2.0TDI PD140

Okay... but if an odd one. We’ve owned the Leon for around 6 years and it’s always been good on diesel, however of late it seems to be getting better, the cars just turned 116k miles and it’s been creeping up, we used to get just over 500 miles to a tank but on the last fill up I got 580miles.... my driving hasn’t changed really and we don’t suddenly do loads of motorway miles, I just can’t figure it out, maybe it’s just bedded in!

Any thoughts? I’m not complaining just curious.

Not sure. My 170 has gone the other way, was getting 530 to a tank now 490

Changed fuel types recently? I found i got better mpg with BP diesel but better car performance from Shell.
