Fuel Tank and Indicator

Hello,

Last week I filled up my tank with 50.9 L at the pump. I know that I had only 2-3L max, since the trip computer showed 25km range (bottom red led was not flashing though). Still, almost 51 L + 25km equilavent liters seemed a bit odd considering the manual says 50. Or for convenience manual does not mention something like 52.4, and just label it 50? I know that different pumps tick-off at different levels, but come on 51L seems off. It is my regular gas station and I wonder if they're ripping or not.

Anyone had a similar experience?

I think fuel tanks have a reserve of few liters more which is sometimes mentioned in the manuals for some cars and perhaps not in Leon's one.

The tank probably is 50 ltr's but if your filling it till it cuts off, don't forget the pipework probably adds at least a couple of ltrs to the capacity plus any expansion system if fitted
