Hi,

just before xmas the local garage MOT'd my car, on getting it back the rear bumper is cracked (absolutely no idea how).

He said the place MOT'ing did it, (he would do any repairs needed to pass an MOT, not the test) they said they didn't however. he has said he will get it fixed and bear the cost, as i left the car with him,i have a text from him just after the incident confirming the car was not like this when i left it with him

It's been a month now and he has said a bumper arrived, but was cracked so was getting another - this was apparently dispatched 2 weeks ago, still nothing. My patience is wearing really thin now i want it sorting - i have a sneaky suspicion he is hoping i will just forget about it, not going to happen!

Just after some advice before i go up there guns blazing and do something ill regret :censored:

Best thing I can suggest to you mate is get in touch with trading standards, also have a read of this article Vehicle repairs and servicing - your rights.

I've only skim read it, but will take a read of it tomorrow as I need to get my head down! Up for work at 4am haha :D

Hopefully you can get this issue resolved as it's really bad that they damaged your car and are taking the :censored: to sort it out for you given you had confirmation it was done while in their care.

Take it easy mate, level head, calm and collected. Guns blazing doesn't always help, albeit it relieves you temporarily it won't necessarily get you anywhere quicker! :)

Go down there and inform him that you need this doing like yesterday and have been very patient with him. Also two weeks and nothing sounds like bull mate. If it was coming from bloody China it would have arrived by now.

Try and keep calm and diplomatic with him but state your frustration and unneeded stress this is causing you.

Hope you get it sorted soon mate good luck.
