Early Access!

This thread is a log of how far I got building my own application and reverse engineering the Garmin PID.
If you like you can download VW_UserShell_SeatSkin.nfs and replace it in your VwUsershell Folder.
Skin:

TOOL:

This is a tool to quickly switch between Performance and ECO Trip:
Extract zip, then copy the folder to the internal Storage /Apps/ .
In addition you need edited Watchdog.ini files otherwise your device will just reboot.

NEW Skin Release with tool to change them on the fly!

Things I am working on as of now (16.02.2016)

Rerverse Engineering the Dataprotocol (making some slow process on BAP and CAN)

Theming the device (on hold, more important stuff to do)

Developing on the Device (on hold until Android app works)

Adding Support for other Cars (Need your help for that)

Building my own Device (Based on Lenovo Tab 2 A7-30H)
- Making connection via Wire (worked well, but bluetooth is the way to go)
- Using bluetooth now (Works well now. OPAmps are used to Levelshift)
- Devloping Android App ( making good progress)
- 3D Print a Housing and Holder.

Rev

Does this work with what models? And how does the rev counter look (where is the redline etc)?

It looks like that:
47yfa7g5.png

Exactly like the normal IBIZA 6J.

But I think Ill redo all of the gauges because I was able to extract the font from the system.

It's only testet on my Ibiza, it schould work with every Ibiza except Cupra.
Please be patient with me, a Cupra version is in the making.

Sorry I had to remove them, because they are not compatible to v 7.16.8.
maybe I find time soon. I still have all my skinned files, so it's not that complicated..

found a small issue, where it does not pair up again with your phone after standby. The solution is simple:
In the Watchdog_BTCore.ini change ActionAtTermination = 0 to ActionAtTermination = 2

I had that same issue. Always had to reboot the device to get bt to connect.

Thank you.

Works for me Ibiza FR accept the G-force.

Grtz, Adrie

The car movement on the Eco-trainer (slowing and accelerating detection) suggests the FR has some kind of accelerometer, which i assume is the type of sensor the G-force function uses. Have no clue as how that could me made to work though...

Hello robomrburns,

You have done a good job with SPS, thank you. I want to ask you if is possible see the same guages in ECO Trip mode as Performance mode.

It will be nice if we can choose the boost gauge or consumition average gauge in ECO Trip display.

Car can calculate that from inputs like speed sensor, steering angle etc. G-force detection needs a better suited sensor for that.
