I have a 2007 seat leon 1.9 tdi 105 and the glow plug light has come on and the car seems o be running in limp mode. I take it this is a faulty glow plug? My old toledo put the glow plug light on because of a faulty brake light switch but this is ok in the leon.(i think!!!)
Also yhe airbag light came on 6 days before. Could these be connected?

My 54 reg did this the other week. It was a crank sensor fault. My engine man light was on aswell though

Just get it Vag.com'd just be anything really.

The glow plug only helps start engine, it is used once its running from what I understand so should effect limp mode

Check your brake lights are working. This often means your brake switch under the brake pedal has failed. It would also explain your 'limp mode' behaviour as the car is running confused. Happened to me.

some may say lala land....
on a Leon, flashing glow plug light normally means brake switch, well mk1 at least.
yours being 2007 is i guess a mk2?

best thing; vag-com check it
that is the only real way to know what the fault is

Hey folks! just a quick update! airbag light is just a faulty connection and the glow plug / loss of power is due to faulty throttle being replaced under warranty! thanks to those who offered help!

The throttle pedal! The big thing you put your right foot on! Electronic fault. Not sending the signal to the engine. (Including the throttle position sensor.)
