Hi Everyone,

Just thought i would post on here and tell everyone about my big turbo conversion.

I decided to go with Jabba as i have been dealing with them eversince i got my car, and all i can say is wow. The car went in last saturday for Big turbo, downpipe and de-cat, coilovers, rear spacers and a clutch. I got the car back on thursday but unfortunatly it isn't quite finished yet, when they were trying to re-map the car when they got to a certain point (above 205bhp) the turbo was overboosting madly and was making the bhp line on the dyno go up down up down and they needed the car for another day but the only day off i had in the next 2 weeks was that day and today but as they don't open sunday was no good and i was so desperate to get my car back so what we agreed is that they would get the map smooth at around 205bhp and then i would take it back in a few weeks time and they will map it again, which to be honest i thought was a good thing atleast the turbo and clutch are being run in a bit better than if it just went straight to 240bhp, but to be honest the car is really very fast. On the standard turbo i use to loose most of the power at about 3500rpm but now it holds the power well past 4500rpm and it fly's haha!!. Also i love the downpipe and de-cat the car really does sound like a beast now so lound when your flooring it. And it looks 10 times better lowered with rear spacers i will take some photo's a bit later on and post them up.

oh forgot to mention the jabbasport rear anti roll bar, the car handles like a dream now before i used to be worried about fast cornering in this car due to the roll whereas now i am very confident in the bends as it handles so well the coilovers are not to hard and not to soft which is exactly what i wanted.

Here is the PD130 turbo package from Jabba: http://www.jabbasport.com/services2.asp?serviceid=53 which says £2053 fully fitted. It's quite a lot of money but I'm sure it's well worth it. I had similar work done but I'm just missing the FMIC which I need to save up for. When it's fully up and running give me a shout and we'll have to meet up to compare the 2 even though you should have the edge, would be good to see the difference.

Hi all thanks for the comments, i have just been out dropping the coilovers even more they are now dropped max at the back but i still can drop the front alot more i'm going out to take some photo's right this second so will be up in 15 20 mins,

air: i already had a custom re-map from jabba which was quite good

Rash: thing is by the time i get used to this power i will be taking it back for another map once everything has bedded in but there isn't much more i can do to make it faster after this.

Avrs: yea will deffinatly meet up soon mate will be great to compare turbo's haha i was in brakley earlier showing off to a mate of mine that lives there

Chill: as far as i am aware it is the cupra turbo but modified you can choose to have a new turbo and they modify that or if you already have a pd150 turbo they can just have that and modify it!! i'm not sure exactly what or how they actually do it haha1!!

There are a lot of things that can be done to make your car have more bhp. Have you fitted bigger injectors or propane injection, cams, porting the head, bigger turbo .....

What you have got is a VNT17/20 turbo which is basically the same as an Allard VT2 or Turbo Dynamics stage 1 turbo cannot remember the proper name for it.
Without having extra fueling like uprated injectors etc you should get around 230 bhp on an independant RR depending on what compressor and exhaust wheels Jabba have had fitted to the turbo.

what do you guys think then??? the coilovers at the back can prob be turned twice more then they would be at max and the front could be prob turned 8 times loads left.

Since it is a 17/20 turbo the housing will look the same and the insurance companies will never know you have a hybrid turbo...
Just wondered what the engine bay looked like incase Jabba did anything different or smart looking on your engine. Don`t take a photo with the useless engine cover on if you where givern one when you bought the car either please thankyou.:D
