Yes James. Remember the split pipe i had about 3 weeks ago under inlet manifold? yesterday i noticed some wooshing voice coming from under inlet manifold. SO today i got myself to investigate. I've undone few bolts and noticed that the pipe i used is completely torn apart. This time i used some 4mm silicone and cable ties ;p. Hopefully this was causing my running issues. If thats not it then im buying diesel ! haha.

Huge split

One day i guess i will have to redo all of those pipes under inlet manifold just for a peace of mind.

I know its an old car and rubber pipes might perish but why my scoobie friends never have any problems with boost leaks ? :/

Or maybe i should get rid of that n249 and n112 ? :D

IM going to get rid of that whole oil breather system and just block off all the other vacuums and run one new bit of piping, seems every one has issues with it so if its all new stuff then hopefully no more issues :D

heh... i think i have another boost leak now. I can see some fresh oil residues on the bottom of inlet manifold (right hand side - just by the screws) ... this is getting stupid now. How many hoses do i have to change to have a properly running car? Every time i change one - another one splits - i should have changed them all at once.

Looks like I have to undo inlet manifold to get access to those hoses and to investigate them properly.

EDIT:
doh ... im going now to check it - i will undo just the front of inlet - this really upsets me

PS

I bought N75J but its not on the car yet. ^^

you find the leak greesha?

I'm not sure. I'm thinking it may be breather pipe underneath inlet manifold - made of chocolate as well. I can see some oily residues but i'm unsure where from yet. I think i will just leave it with some mechanic now and ask to change all of those pipes.

P.S. I broke my dipstick ...i have no idea how to change that so yes, i will leave it with mechanic.

I have also some oily residues on the pipes leading to n112 or n249 (i'm unsure which one is which - underneath that little shelf in front of inlet manifold). This is all just giving me a headache now.

the breathers are crap my old mate, had one go on mine. There are two sleeved together with heatshrink and the split was well hidden. This caused the oil mist to spray everywhere. :(

Fitted N75J yesterday and i must say that car really feels strong all the time now.

Feels like its holding boost longer. Really good investment at least for me because i have just noticed that my 17705 fault code is gone as well (i had that fault code for over a year haha) :). That means my N75F was faulty :D so could have been affecting performance all the time. My car is now officially fault codeless ^^.

Btw.
This evening
Leon > Civic Type R ^^ (on private airstrip of course - rolling start from 3rd)

Oil catch tank fitted today :)

I will post some pictures later on along with my whining about how hurt my arms are now ^^. Obviously it didn't take me 1,5h like james. It was more like 3h for me :D. Got few problems through the process of installation like putting L shaped pipe back to filter housing along with sliding metal thing that keeps it in place (real pain) or connecting 19mm rubber pipe to that L shaped pipe (i had no 19mm connector - it would be easier with it). Proper place for catch tank itself wasnt the easiest thing either...

Car seems to be slightly more responsive.

Rubbish quality at night

Of course that big bolt is going to disappear from there xD. Just temporary fix.

I need to clean this engine properly one day. May have sense now since those breather pipes are gone hehe.

some guy just refused to accept that my leon was faster than his golf mark 3 VR6 :)

James my piping under inlet manifold looked just like that golf's one. I had to get rid of brake booster line.
