You dont have to send your turbo to TT you buy one from them and they take your old one when they deliver the hybrid?
IMO expect your clutch to die, with a hybrid you are going to be getting 350lbft easily, it killed my 15k oe clutch instantly!

i'll ask them again, when i first called and asked for an exchange he said they'd work on my turbo and send it back. would be better if they will send another and take mine...

Well mine is based on the std 1749v but uses the comp wheel and housing from the 2.5 tdi.
I paid £ 569.16 inc vat delivery gaskets etc and they took mine when they delivered the hybrid. 2 year warranty with it.
part number is r172 gasket kit tfk112

Cannot do it for the 150?
They did it for mine!
Perhaps there is a shortage of 150 units so dont have any reconditioned ready?

I bought a brand new 17549vb turbo from Germany and had CR turbos give it the hybrid treatment. Cost about £760 for the new unit & £100 odd for a larger compressor wheel and machining of the housing to suit.

vw will take it back with a 10% charge...

will give tt another call tomorrow to figure out what is the best option for me :)

also parked the car up as the noise is louder. the last thing i need is it going before its fixed!
