looking to change my turbo from the gt28rs eliminator kit version 1, to the real gt28rs that uses a custom pipe that connects to a ko3 down pipe.

as my turbo flows 280-300
the real gt28rs flows up to 350

i realy only need the turbo as i have all other bits already in place anyone know for best place to buy one from ?

ye, or debating to go full hog and scrap set up i have and go for a gt30 first as last

been offerd daft amount for my set up 800 quid for turbo and intake and lines

so eitha gt28rs t25 flanged with the connector pipe to make it fit my k03 down pipe thats 2.5 inch, as i dont like the fact of having to take a tubluar manifold on and off all the time to weld it, thats the only thing putting me off BT as i use car day to day and dont want it off the road for manifold repairs, as it is now not even the engine managment lite comes on let alone anything els :)

but im getting bored of the power and want more as you do

decent made tubulars dont need to be welded or repaired...
but like any hot exhaust turbo component, over time, things can and will crack... as they do now on std cars.. turbos, cast manifolds etc etc

Having tried GT2871 and 3071 on different a/r's I think the 0.63 hotside GT3071 is an excellent all rounder.. The GT2871 is just that bit breathless and not that much faster spooling to be worth it for me. If going from GT28RS, 3071 would be my choice - 2871 not worth it for the gains

in an ibiza platform, the rear motor mount restricts fitment options more than it would on mk4 platform cars.. the top mount tubulars I have done, start from £925 for T25 non-external gated, and £975 for T3, external gated, plus coatings etc etc - Ceramic coatings are mandatory on the installs... when I do them.

Drop me an email if you want to [email protected] and I can work out some options for you to look over.

regards
bill

Going to disagree with this slitghly Bill...

All tubulars manifolds will crack.Whether it is now or 10 years from now...even the ever famous Full-Race manifold cracks.
Cast manifolds are way more reliable and wont crack if not abused.

well i guess we will agree to disagree... :)
I see many cast manifiolds crack of various makes, inc OE K03, OE k04, Jabba, Kinetic, 034 and tubulars..

All manifolds will crack is what I am saying.. nature of the environment
Same as all turbo exaust housings will also crack in their lifetime - we see that a lot also.
